A 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar today, causing widespread devastation. There are 144 confirmed fatalities, with the number likely to increase. Significant infrastructure damage has occurred, and it is uncertain how many people have been displaced from their homes or shelters. The shockwaves have also caused damage in Bangkok, Thailand, and parts of China.
